A.

Manchester City's start to the season retained its undefeated record when Edin Džeko and Samir Nasri cleaned up against Tottenham.
Nasri crossed to Džeko who tapped it in to make it 1-0 on the 34 minute mark!
Crouch headed wide for Tottenham's equaliser and the City duo retaliated; Džeko headed in the second just before half time!!
After the half-time point, super-sprinter Aaron Lennon had to be taken off the pitch due to a groinal injury and two minutes later,Džeko scored again to make it a hat-trick!!!
Aguero's mad dash led to another City goal to make it 4-0 at 60 minutes!!!!
At the 68 minute point, Kaboul gave Tottenham a consolation after heading in Van Der Vaart's corner but went off the pitch to groin pain.
Finally, in injury time Džeko powered in a shot from Gareth Barry to make it 5-1!!!!!

Mancini praised his perfect team (although he will speak to keeper Hart about the conceded goal) and said that they should keep it up because titles are not won in August. When asked if there were any other teams in the world playing better than them, one came to mind: Barcelona. He said that before the match he wanted the team to be more aggressive and it seems to have paid off!
When interviewed, 'The Bosnian Diamond' Džeko said he was proud of himself and said this year he feels he played better due to pre-season games, experience in the Premier League and of course, his teammates.

Tottenham manager Rednapp feels this is his 'worst ever pre-season' and as well as poor defending, blames outside pressure and the transfer status of players in his club; Luka Modrić and Peter Crouch in particular.

Wayne Rooney scores a hat-trick to add woe to Arsène Wenger's criticism.Arsenal's team was full of players that were either not fully match fit or not regular starts but that is still no excuse for their worst defeat since 1896.

Welbeck opened up the match by heading in a pass from Anderson past a slow Szczesny to at 22 minutes.
Soon after the first goal, Evans took down Walcott which gave The Gunners a penalty to equalise. United's keeper David De Gea, who was criticised for slow reactions, cleaned up his image after saving a shot from Robin Van Persie.
At the 28 minute mark, United punished Arsenal when Ashley Young curled in a shot to make it 2-0!!
Welbeck had to be taken off due to a hamstring injury but that did not stop Wayne Rooney, who, with the help of Young, curled in a free kick from 20 yards out to make it 3-0!!!
Walcott attempted to halt some of United's momentum by firing in a goal past De Gea to make it 3-1 but it was not enough; Ashley Young and Wayne Rooney played a set piece to make the latter score goal number four at 64 minutes.
Three minute later, Wayne Rooney once again played the thorn in Arsenal's side as he passed to Nani who made it 5-1 with a superb chip over frustrated Szczensy!!!!!
Substitute Park Ji Sung came on for United and fired an unstoppable shot for the seventh goal of the match at 70 minutes.
A consolation goal from Van Persie at 74 minutes but Jenkinson was sent off his second yellow card after fouling Jenkinson. Another foul from Arsenal came when Walcott fouled Patrick Evra in the penalty area; the punishment? A penalty, scored by Rooney at 82 minutes to make it 7-2!!!!!!!
Finally in injury time, part of the double duo, Ashley Young curled in a shot to make it 8-2!!!!!!!!

Sir Alex (allegedley) felt sorry for Arsenal that although they put on a weakened team, they had some new star players and being beat by 6 goals is not something a manager should experience and he will still continue to be a 'big adversary' to him.

Arsène Wenger changed the subject of the defeat by saying losing a Cup or Title game makes one feel more low. He stated the first half was even but the Arsenal defence was no match for United's attacking prowess. Wenger apologised and reports state that Arsenal are offering free tickets to their next game due to the poor performance.
